The PLA opened up in February 1998 in response
to the need to find a good place to go and have dinner.
In the Gothic quarter of Barcelona in a hidden but easy-to-find
side street and an ambience lit by candle light plus
music to fit every occasion.

Warm, intimate, cosy, it offers cuisine inspired
by the Mediterranean but without leaving out
influences from other cultures.

A young and carefree service and an innovative cuisine where,
salads, meats, fish and vegetarian options make up a constantly
changing menu thus making it difficult for you to choose
your favourite dish.

STARTERS:  Salads , carpaccios and others ....     

BWOL OF TODAY'S SALAD varius leaves and vegetables, and a generous vinaigrette to choose from: Fresh herbs, grape and mint or french style

RUCULA AND FRESH MACKEREL, guacamole and a seaweed and cucumber marinate

SEASONAL VEGETABLES on a tomato and apple mosaic, traces of remesco, herbs and a bit of ham, or not...

SMOKED ZUCCHINI CARPACCIO with parmesan shavings and pine nuts vinaigrette

CHEESE CARPACCIO, Manchego and Idiàzabal, grape, dill sauce, and an oregano and rosemary oil

IBERIAN HAM SHAVINGS with tomato rubbed flat bread

FOIE GRAS TERRINE, wobbling muscat, apples and pumpkin cream

BEEF TARTARE .... with foie gras shavings and variety of spiced crisps

VEGETARIAN DISH: a selection of vegetables and roots each cooked and seasoned in its own way

GRILLED SMOKED SALMON with vegetables dice on ratatouille and raisins   ( we recomend it rare )
