The PLA opened up in February 1998 in response
to the need to find a good place to go and have dinner.
In the Gothic quarter of Barcelona in a hidden but eassy-to-find
side street and an ambience lit by candle light plus
music to fit every occasion.

Warm, intimate, cosy, it offers cuisine inspired
in the Mediterranean but without leaving out
influences from other cultures.

A young and carefree service and an innovative cuisine where,
salads, meats, fish and vegetarian options make up a constantly
changing menu thus making it difficult for you to choose
your favourite dish.

STARTERS: Carpaccios, salads and other dishes ....       

SHAVED IBERIAN HAM, with tomato rubbed toasted breads.

COLD OR HOT SOUP of the day .... depending on the day

OCTOPUS CARPACCIO with fresh tomato, avocado and pine nuts cream, a touch of wasabi and another of paprika

CHEESE CARPACCIO, Manchego and Idiázabal, apple and dill sauce, and an oregano and dill oil

COURGETTE CARPACCIO with yogurt and tofu cream and a Puy lentils vinaigrette

IBERIAN PORK SECRET CARPACCIO porcini mushroom sauce, pistachios and a truffle vinaigrette

FRESH SPINACH SALAD, sautéed squid and oven roasted tomatoes

ROCKET SALAD with mushrooms, seaweed, sautéed pear and a soya and honey vinaigrette

GREEN SALAD Carrot and courgette tagliatelle + an opcional dressing of: Fresh herbs,   grape and mint  or  mustard and honey

SASONAL BRAISED VEGETABLES oven roasted vegetable mousse, dry fruits and fresh herbs praline

BEEF TARTARE .... with foie gras shavings, mustard and apple emulsion and spiced bread croutons

BRAISED IBERIAN PORK FILLET mutabal aubergine mille-feuille, a hazelnut sauce and a dried apricot marmelade....( we recomend it rare )

FRESH FISH OF THE DAY, or steamed fresh fish of the day with sautéed vegetables
